Is this a great picture, or what? We are outside our hotel room in Colonia del Sacramento at sunset. What an amazingly cute little town. Very touristy, but I could definitely see living there during the off season. It's very old, cobble stone streets etc. I think our hotel was built in 1748. There wasn't a blow dryer in the room, of all the nerve!
We finally found a parilla for dinner. Had to wait until 8:30 pm to leave the hotel though. When we went out the 1st time (when we took this picture) nothing was open yet. So we ventured out later and found a place. David videotaped the guy cooking on the parilla and we're hoping to figure a way to link the video to this blog...
We leave at 9pm tonight. We're going to try a different "feria" this morning in Montevideo, since the one the other day was undoable due to the rain. So we're off. More later...
